Honestly, I've never really bought into this buying British or any other native country that people live in, just buy the best product at the best price without caring where that product comes from, a lot of goods now are made on a mass scale and because of that, it makes a lot of sense for them to pruduce them on mass in big regions like the EU, US, China and so on and sold to all the regions and nearby countries in that region.
It's also why leaving the EU is a bad idea because a lot of companies picked the UK for our easy access to the EU market, after Brexit, it makes more economic sense for them to leave and set up shop in another EU country simply because they have more people to sell too with less barriers when it comes to trade.
The problem is for the UK is that we don't have much of an industry anymore, a lot of which was ripped apart during the 1980's which made the UK more of a service base economy so even if we want to buy British, that isn't easy to do as we don't make much anymore and clearly the EU isn't the problem in that because many other EU members don't have the same problems the UK does and produces a lot of homegrown goods.
