  1. The EU has already stepped up and the funding is already much higher than what the US has given so far, especially if you look at it from an EU and its members level. The problem is that the EU isn't on a war footing just yet and will take some time to rearm, so the EU is in a good position to give Ukraine aid but the US is in a better position to give military equipment, Ukraine needs both. On the plus side, it does look like things are moving in the right direction, in the EU, they are finding solutions to side step Hungary that keeps trying to block everything, and there seems to be signs in the US of the Republicans softening their tone on that $50 billion. Both sides need to step up their game and give Ukraine the means to end the war sooner rather than later.
