I don't see any reason why Scotland can't join the Euro, it seems to work well enough for the Republic of Ireland and if Scotland got it's economy ready for the Euro, there is no reason why it can't work out well for them and beside, if Scotland does leave the UK and wants to rejoin the EU, they will have to join the Euro at some point, as for the Euro, I think it will be in every EU members interest to join at some point because Euro members are likely going to get closer together economically and that going to give them a economic advantage being as they share the same currency. In any case, for the Euro to work well for any EU countries, they have to do a lot of preparation to be ready for it otherwise you could end up with the mess we saw in some countries that fiddled the books or didn't perper enough for the Euro.
