They are scared of a 2nd referendum because unlike they want us to think that leave support is going up, all the evidence is suggesting that support for remain has sky rocketed over the last few months and it's ironic that our goverment likes to keep telling us it's doing the will of the people but it's sounding like they are trying to force us out of the EU when most of the British people want to stay and if that is the case and say Brexit goes badly wrong, the damage this could do to the ones that pushed this agenda and the ones that had the power to stop it but didn't could be immense. In other words, this could do some real damage to the Conservative party, Labour, the euroseptic and the right wing press in the country as they are betting highly on Brexit being a big success and as the British people only care about the well being of themselves, it's clear to see who they will blame for when things go badly wrong. May is in damage control mode, shes pushed so hard for Brexit that offering another public vote and if the public votes to remain in the EU would do a lot of damage to her but her forcing the country out of the EU is likely going to do much more damage to her, either way shes finished and it's high time she uses her head and do whats in the intrest of the country and it's sounding like hearing the public out with another vote is the best option now.

@nealbeard1 The thing is, we've seen little to no evidnce that Brexit is going to be a success, the Brexiteers have had more then enough time to show us the benefits of Brexit and they've done a poor job, now they are trying to make it seem that we voted for hard Brexit when in reality, a lot of Brexiteers never voted for that kind of Brexit. All in all, another vote is the only real solution to this mess and thats what I suspect will happen because at the moment, they are just running around in circles getting nowhere fast and now it's got to the point that they need to know what the British people think on Brexit as it's been around 3 year now, a lot can change over that time.
