I think cashless society will happen and is already happening and overall can be a good thing for us, the problem is, we need to open up governments so the public knows more on what they get up to and where our taxes go. Also, big companies need to start paying their way, tax loop holes need to close as it's the poor and middle classes that are paying for the big companies not paying, either by paying more taxes or getting less public services. I can understand why so many are cynical about these things, governments and companies give us many reasons to be so the best solution is to open up governments and companies, make them far more transparent so we know what they are getting up to as I find it crazy that governments are suppose to do the public bidding and yet they are so secretive, all money that governments deal with should be public and on the net so the public can see it, in other words, we want to know how they are spending our tax money, that might do wonders for cleaning up the system and a cashless society might push people to force governments to go that way.
