Recycling of solar panels will get much better and cheaper as it becomes more of an issue, in other words, as panels last 25-40 plus years and with a lot more of us using solar panels, it's going to become a lot more of an issue once the end of life of panels we use today because there are so many more of them and with that, there will be more pressure on finding solutions to the problem. So I'm not really worried about this as it's not a major issue for now but longer term if we don't change, it will become a big issue, but by then, solutions are likely already in place, basically, for now it's just cheaper to dig more resources out of the ground, longer term that's not likely to be the case unless we are mining resources from space but even then, it makes a lot more sense to get better at recycling as much as we can and I suspect that's what we will do in the future, especially as it becomes a pressing matter, for now, it isn't one, but longer term with population growth and developing countries becoming modern, it could become a major issue.
