There's two things I'm thinking here, either the solar industry are realizing that there is a massive opening for them to take a big chunk of the energy market or there is a lot of pressure from many governments around the world to reduce the cost of making them. It can't be by chance that there is a massive shift on this when global energy security is rattled with what Russia is doing in Ukraine and I get the feeling that many governments around the world have had enough of these games and want to generate as much energy internally as they can, it also helps that OPEC keeps playing games by trying to reduce production to push oil prices higher and I'm getting a sense that many governments around the world have had enough and are actively killing off the fossil industry a lot sooner than would have happened if Putin didn't invade Ukraine. Putin might have done the world a massive favour by getting us to wake up and act by speeding up the process to alternative energy sources, and I really do wonder if Putin even realizes the can of worms he's opened up.
