@ourshit5725 To be fair, most of us don't like seeing doctors or going to the hospital and I usually only go as a last resort but it's nice not knowing about the cost factor and knowing I can go whenever I want, Covid permitting lol.

@ottz2506 Some things just make more sense that way, especially public services like fire, health care, the police and so on, it seems odd in the US that many of the other services are government run but the health care isn't. I suspect a big part of that is because the private health care industry has got too big in the US and it's this constant fight from the government and them to change or keep things as they are but it's also a case of capitalism going too far which is harmful to the citizens. You're right, their actions or I should say lack of action has likely killed millions of Americans over the decades and probably ruined many lives because of the debt burden. On the plus side, I think it's only a matter of time before the US follows the rest of the developed world, every other developed country and a lot of developing ones are universal health care, that's putting a lot of pressure on the US to change and it's clear there is enough interest in that from the public, I suspect it's just a matter of time.

@ottz2506 I've heard many stories about Americans, even the ones without insurance, getting treatment in Europe because it works out much cheaper than having the same treatment in the US, it's crazy to think that an American can have a holiday in Europe and get treatment cheaper than they can in the US, you know something is wrong with the system in the US for that to happen.

It's the Russians, they did a right number on the Americans that they see Socialism as some kind of evil that has to be kept out of the system, it's crazy because the US does have many things that are more socialism like the fire service, so why is it so hard for health care? Simple reason really, profit, the US has allowed a big industry to build up on health care matters and that's what US governments are fighting or backing up. In the end, you've got to blame the American people, they've got access to the world's information, they are not taking advantage of it and seem to want to live in ignorants.

I remember hearing stories about ambulances, yes it seems there is a cost for that, anyway, many avoid them and go to the hospital themselves because of the cost, so much so that I remember hearing one person having to give a piggyback for a friend because of the cost of an ambulance, I've even heard stories that it's cheaper for an American that has no health insurance to have a holiday to Europe, get Medicare and it all ends up being cheaper, you know something is wrong with the American system for that to be the case.

Remember, profit over well-being, that's where the real problem is, the US is too capitalistic which only cares about profits and not the people, after all, look how the system tries so hard to discredit other systems around the world on health care, they are not doing it for the well-being of Americans, they are doing it for a few wealthy in the US, it's pure greed in the end and it's the American people that are paying the price, ironically, most don't know it because the system tells them they are the best and most assume it to be true, it's sad in a way. The real sad thing is, this isn't going to change until Americans open their eyes and see how much of the world is doing a better job in many sectors.

@rickducharme7429 What, so laughing is insecure now? lol, that's a good one, I actually understand phycology, what you are doing is deflecting because you don't have an argument to counter what was said, a lot of people that don't have an argument do one of three things, they either get angry, they either walk away or they deflect. But don't worry, you're in good company, a lot of people deflect things when it's something they don't want to hear because it doesn't fit their world view, in other words, they delude themselves in how things are.
