I was interested in wind energy for the home but after doing a lot of research, it looked like a minefield with way too many scams that promises this but hardly deliver anything close to what they say they do and in the end, I felt solar was the far safer option to go. That doesn't mean wind isn't useful, it's a great option when doing the massive ones but I tend to find that the ones for your home are kinda useless and don't really produce much energy compared to solar. All this was a few years ago and maybe things have changed or I missed something but until I see a credible small wind turbine that actually works quite well for the home, solar seems to be the way to go.
