@chrisrios4303 I think he's talking about compared to every other rich nation that is doing far better on that scale, the US likes to keep saying they are the best but when you look at other rich modern countries, so many things are being done better in them then the US that benefit the poor and middle classes, it's not even funny but it is sad because too many Americans assume they are the best and that makes it harder to do real change that would benefit them and that is why nothing much really changes in politics because they use the argument of saying, well it's not as bad as it is in other countries which is a really weak argument for them to use. They should compare to modern countries only or better yet, live in one of those countries for a few years, that's the best way to get a major wake up call of the flaws back home, I know this because I've lived in both the EU and US for years and that's when you realize how bad things have got in the US in so many areas. What makes it really sad is that it's going to get a lot worse once the economic fallout of this virus hits.

@user-gz7cj3zc7x And you wonder why the US has problems lol, besides, us Europeans don't mind paying more taxes so that we have a more balanced system that works for many and not the few, the US system seems to be all about the rich at the expense of the poor and middle classes and that could get far worse with what the government is doing at the moment, it's the biggest crime going of forced redistribution of wealth from the poor and middle classes to the rich elites, I'm shocked Americans are allowing it to happen right under their noses, after all, who do you think is going to pay all of that? The poor and middle classes as always and that's going to put quite a lot of burden on the American people for a few years.

@emeraldworldlp8828 Which is ironically because many things in the US are not even comparable to other competent modern countries and feel more second class than anything. The real problem in the US is patriotism, it blinds too many Americans from the truth and the government and companies take full advantage of the Americans on that one because patriotism automatically makes them assume they are the best without question and because of that, no research goes into seeing if that is true and you get a real sense of it if you live in both the US and EU countries for a few years, Europe is doing much better in so many ways and the irony is, the Europeans don't realize it because they like to complain about everything lol, maybe that's why things are better, complaining about things to be better lol.

@user-gz7cj3zc7x Simply, look at where most of those bailouts are going, it's mostly being used to prop up the rich elites and big corporations, who do you think is paying for all that, it might sound like free money at the moment but it's the average people that will pay it will higher taxes or lower spending and in this case, the burden looks to be really high with how crazy they are going on the printing press, in other words, expect a few years hardship for about 5, maybe 10 years unless that tax the rich a lot more, fat chance of that in the US lol.

@user-gz7cj3zc7x That's how the system always works throughout history, get us fighting among ourselves so they can run off to the bank, it's much easier for them to manipulate the public when we are divided because they know we are a threat to them if we stand together, hence why they like to keep us fighting among ourselves on anything they can, this trick has been known going back all the way to the Roman times, it's effective and it works but it shouldn't work today with the level of information the public have access too and that it still does, suggest there is something really wrong with public thinking for them to get mislead so easierlly.

@claymate202 Spot on, the US should be compared to other modern countries not selective countries and when done like that, the US doesn't look that good overall unless you are rich, but then if you are rich, you're good almost anywhere.

@user-gz7cj3zc7x I never understand the logic on why people bring left or right into a debate, it's designed to dismiss what the other said, as it happens, I did a test once and my views were all over the place from left and right, that some still use the term left and right in todays age is quite shocking. As for the rest, just do your research and a bit of advice, get the news from many sources from around the world, the west isn't very reliable on that one because most tend to paint the same narrative, especially in the US, it's a eye opener when you read news from around the world and you get a real sense of what is really going on.

You know a system has failed when you can get people living on the streets with little to no money and then have someone with 100 billion to their name, no country can honestly say they are the best with that level of divide and I can understand there's always likely going to be some level of inequality but the level of inequality we see in the US is crazy, even by other modern countries standards. I suspect the reason for that is low taxes, yes something people assume is a good thing but, is it? Lower taxes means less public spending, less social net and more wealth going into fewer hands whereas higher taxes act as a redistribution of wealth whiles also having a lot of public services that are free to use which help the poor and middle classes out the most which is what we see in Europe and pretty much every other modern country. The US is a weird country of rich and poor to the extreme but you really want to know what the sad truth is, it's not going to change unless the people change, think about it, look at the people the Americans elect? These people can't be more detached to what real life is like if they tried, Americans and the rest of the world for that matter needs to elect people that know what real life is like if you really want change because the likes of Trump don't have a clue because they are in their own little bubble where the rest don't matter and that is why nothing changes election after election because the people are not changing.
