Problem is for Boris, he's trapped on both sides now, he bluffed his way into thinking the EU would back down and give concessions, but the EU is toughing it's line and hence why Boris looks so stressed out lately, he knows he can't win here, if he goes for no deal, both remainders and Brexiteers will turn on him once things go sour after Brexit, if he gives concessions, the Brexiteers will go after him, he's backed himself into a corner that isn't easy to get out.
I suspect he's going to back down because I suspect he can deal with the hardcore Brexiteers but can't deal with them and the remainders going after him next year.
Brexit from this UK governments has always been about bluffing to try and get the EU to give more, the EU didin't fold and are in fact getting tougher as of late, this puts the UK, Boris and the Tories in a very bad position.
It's also very likely that Scotland will leave the UK without a Brexit deal and Northern Ireland could follow them shortly after and 10 years from now, many will ask where the UK got this so badly wrong and it's quite simple really, we let the fanatics take control just like the Americans did with Trump but in the case of the US, they can undo the damage, that isn't likely for the UK.
So anyone getting excited about goods going up in price next year? we all know the Brexiteers will be the first to complain about that lol.
