Are these clowns in the DUP still crying that the Tories threw them under the bus?, maybe next time they might think a bit smarter and not get in bed with the Tories but I doubt it. In any case, it's nice to see how Brexit is harming the less educated and less well off in the northern parts of England, hence that vote the Tories just won, hits them right in the pocket lol. A few more of these and maybe even the Brexiteers might learn but again, I doubt it lol.

@saxman Oh I don't know, I'm from the north of England and I'm seeing food prices going up and shortage of some food, mostly meat stuff that's becoming a bit harder to find. The real question is, why is the government putting up taxes to fund the NHS? shouldn't that £350 million per week lies fill that void?, that would be 54 billion over 3 years which is more than the tax rises is producing, also, why is Wales only getting 20 million from the UK government when the EU was giving them 400 million per year? That's a massive loss of 380 million per year for Wales. Wasn't Brexit suppose to make us richer? because so far all I'm seeing is that we are becoming poorer.

@pablosaintmarr3223 Wouldn't surprise me and I think the UK is going to end up being one of the hardest hit countries because of Covid which is overall short term and then Brexit which is a long term cost unless something major changes with future governments of the UK, the future looks bleak.

@johncockcroft5236 But we was always in the EU at the time, that kept the glue together, now with one side being in the EU and the other not in the EU, that's where the major problem is and it's almost impossible to fix because the EU won't have an open border that allows the UK to smuggle goods into the EU by the backdoor of Northern Ireland. There are only two solution that I think will work, either Northern Ireland leaves the UK and become part of the EU or the UK becomes part of the EU single market and custom union. The rest is just trying to square a circle which doesn't look possible and sooner or later after banging their heads against a wall, that realization will dawn on them but in the meantime, Northern Ireland is being pulled away from the UK towards the Republic of Ireland and by extension, the EU, that in time is going to make it easier for Northern Ireland to leave the UK as more trade will be with the EU and if they do it and make a success of it, Scotland will likely follow.
