I was thinking that, too much of it is based on our understanding of the universe, physics and all that. We've got so much to learn that there's no way we can know for sure if we'll get to see those things or not but one thing certain, it won't be for a long time. What interest me, what is the end game of us advancing? if we keep advancing our understanding and technology, wouldn't we more or less become god like in that we could more or less do whatever we want? In any case, I suspect the speed of light is the limit of our understanding but things but is far from the limits of speed, just the limit of our advancement.

@AsaelTheBeast That's true but it's still based on our understanding of the universe as we know it now, after all, the amount of times something is seen as impossible only to be done throughout history is quite telling. The truth is, we are still a primitive people when it comes to our understanding how things really work, so the last things humans should do is put artificial limits on our advancement purely based on our understandings of the universe, that only holds us back. Truth is, there is little reason to have faster than light speed with our level of advancement but as we go into space, that need will change and with that, a lot more resources will be put into areas that can find solutions to these problems, but for now, as long as we're stuck on this planet, it's not really an issue.
