@YSLRD I don't think it's the right time for the US to open by at least a few weeks if not a month and half and for a few reasons, the curve is still on the up no matter what Trump wants us to think, then different US states are at different stages on this virus, opening things up too soon would likely do a lot more harm than good, also I highly doubt states and the public are going to listen to Trump on when to open up and will open up when they feel it's safe, the problem is, many will open up and that's where the virus will likely spread, extending the economic damage to the country, it's a risky move to open up too soon and could be really costly if done the wrong way.
In any case, I highly doubt things are going to return back to normal in a few months like some like to think, for one, the economic damage of this will be felt long and hard and two, even if we open up, people are going to be scared, the virus is likely going to be with us for the next 2, maybe 3 years so there is always a chance of catching it once out and about, I also suspect spending on consumer goods will drop because this has been a shock to the system and people will likely want to save for a rainy day, especially when the jobs market doesn't look too good at the moment, so the economic recovery is likely going to be slow and painful for a lot of us.
