  1. The best way to weaken a country is to control the flow of information, something the likes of Russia and China want to do. Western countries are so successful because of the free flow of information and ideas from the top to bottom with everyone in society. In other words, if Russia wants to control the flow of information to its people, well more fool them as that will likely weaken them as a country, the same is likely going to happen to China at some point but for now, its massive population size gives the impression of impressive growth but in reality, they are a long way away from western living standards and the control of information is likely going to keep them many steps behind. History has proven that the more open a society is, the more successful it is and more adaptable to change it is, you would think countries like Russia and China would learn that by now.
