Who is to blame for the problems, simple, it's the people, I know some like to think it's not but the people are the ones that have the real power to make change either by voting for it or by big protest movements. I know it's easy to put the blame on others but deep down, the real problem is the American people and unless they change, don't expect the government or the system to change because the system is working exactly as they want it. So the moral of the story, if you really want change, the people need to change, until then, expect more of the same, basically, throw out patriotism, accept you're not the best and maybe people will want to change for the better because if a country assumes they are the best, there is little reason for the system to change and that is the real problem in the US, too many think of the US as being the best when it's far from the truth in so many areas.
