So this is Trump's idea of bringing jobs back to the US?, he doesn't seem to understand real economics that his actions with these tariffs are putting many busisnesses at risk and they will always look out for number one even if that means moving jobs out of the US. The truth is, the world is global now and busisnesses that sell a lot around the world are the ones that get hurt by tariffs and Harley Davidson just like many others have an intrest in protecting it's share holders that Trump doesn't seem to care about, in other words, he's forcing there hand because these tariffs are hurting that busisness so they are taking action to protect themself. This is likely not to be the last, more so if Trump does more tariffs and all it's really doing is hurting the US the most by forcing jobs out of the US market, Trump needs to becareful here, if he puts more tariffs on goods which will force others to do the same on US goods, this could in the longer run make the US less of an important market to invest in, the world is a big place and thats where the real market is, corparations don't have any loyaty to any country, it's all about the profits and Trump is trying to harm many American brans with his actions thats forcing them to rethink and shift jobs out of the US market to stay competative around the world.

And rightly so, as much as I like to feel sorry for them, it's hard to feel sorry for them when they voted in this idiot, the EU and China are playing this game smart by targeting Trump's support base to damage Trump and the Republican party and if Trump pushes with extra tariffs, the EU and China is just going to get a lot tougher on the US, no one is going to win this one and in fact, we all lose.

Thats true but this made it easy for them to do, what did Trump honestly expect Harley Davidson to do, take the hit to it's profits around the world? or do the smart thing and move jobs out of the US market to avoid these tariffs so they can serve thoes companies whiles staying competative. This is likely not the last and could get much worse for the US if Trump does push with extra tariffs, it's doing what Trump didn't want to do when he said he wants to bring jobs home, it's pushing jobs out and this is really showing that Trump doesn't have a clue about economics.

Seems like Trump wants to push jobs out nevermind bring jobs home, the reality is that Trump could only ever win this if the likes of the EU or China didn't put tariffs on US goods but they had to do that because if they didn't Trump will think he's won and get more aggresive, in other words, Trump is starting something that he can't win and if he pushes his luck with this, the Republican party and the people will end up hanging him by a lamp post if he really tries to go ahead with more tariffs, it's a no win game.

I suspect whats going on is that Trump is being boxed in, he knows he can't win this one but never wants to be seen as a loser, his ego can't take that lol, anyway, I'll be supprised if the US system will even allow Trump to put more tariffs on goods because it's one thing to do it onces but do it again and things can really go bad. Others like the EU and China have little to no choice but to hit back otherwise Trump is egotisical enough to think that if he's won, he can get away with doing it and will continue to do it again, in other words, to really hurt Trump, don't hit him directly but target his support base and the Republican party, that if push comes to shove might end up getting them to hang Trump by a lamp post if Trump pushes too far, hence why he's being boxed in with this.

Trump really thought that others wouldn't dare to stand up to the US on tariffs and what ended up happening is that all of them did with more or less equal messure which does more harm to the US then it does to the others because the others can trade with each other without any of the tariff issues. Trump is learning economic 101 that others will fight back if pushed and now because he's boxed himself in with these tariffs, the US can't really afford to put any more tariffs on top of whats already on because that would send a powerful message to many busisnesses to invest less in the US whiles forcing many US ones to ship jobs out of the US, the last thing Trump wants. But I have to admit, it would be fun if Trump does try and push more tariffs on the EU and China, that could be Trump's hanging moment because either the Republican party will hang him or the American people will once things start to bite. Worse yet for Trump is that he's living on the lagacy of Obama's economic policies, wait till 18 to 24 months in his term and lets see how he's really doing and so far it's not looking good.

It's a bit like in the UK with the fishing industry with Brexit where they voted for Brexit and now are starting to realise that it's going to have a big negative impact on the Industry or now that Airbus is thinking about leaving the UK unless they get a solid trade deal with the EU, Brexit in the UK is hitting the ones that voted for Brexit the most the hardest just like these trade wars look like it's hitting Trump supporters the most, hard to feel sorry for these people when they brought it on them selfs.
