There is a massive difference from Ukraine to Finland and Sweden and that is Ukraine isn't a member of either NATO or the EU whereas Sweden and Finland are. Attacking any EU member would be an attack on all because of how integrated the EU members are, far more so than even NATO members, this is a big part of how the EU came into being, to prevent another war among European nations with the Coal and Steel Community and it worked, but it also has the same impact for any country that attacks an EU member, meaning it's highly unlikely. Still, with that said, nothing wrong with them being in NATO as well and what Putin is doing has backfired on Russia because now we are seeing many countries that want to join both the EU and NATO.
