I can understand what Airbus was thinking at the time, with the population size around the world increasing by around a billion every 14 or so years, bigger planes were going to be needed to accommodate the population growth.
Unfortunately, with the drive to reduce energy use, bigger in this case wasn't better, with airlines wanting more nimble fleets.
With that said, there are use cases for these big planes at major airports that take a lot of passengers and maybe even for fast deliver of cargo.
I also felt that Concord didn't survive because of cost and how much energy it used, there were other problems like noise level, but economics always plays a part with this, still I would love for a new supersonic plane to hit the market, after all, tech has moved on a lot since the original Concord plans.
