It's ironic because I was having a conversation about this to my brother but about A.I. feeling like it's at the early stage of computers in the early 90's, where it went from a small market to mainstream in just a decade, I have a feeling the same thing is going to happen with A.I. over the next decade, and that's going to bring an explosion of developments and progress in A.I. It's kinda exciting and frightening at the same time to think how advanced A.I. could be in just another decade and what implications that have for us and the economy. With all that said, I do think we need an open approach to A.I. as I don't think it's a good idea to have it concentrated in so few hands, and I think an open source model is the only logical option long term, as that will make sure it's for everyone to use, it also means there are far fewer issues with control and privacy that we have with the centralised models online. In any event, the A.I. race has started, we're going to get a lot more rivals entering this space and it wouldn't surprise me if the real winning isn't any of the big players now.
