Not only is mass farting from our agriculture and overpopulation of cows and humans increasing CO2 concentration but deforestation is even accelerating the acidification of our oceans since trees take in more oxygen. I know that life finds a way as Jeff Godlum stated in Jurassic Park, but the overall problem is that the earth will adapt in some of the most egregious ways possible, and it doesn't care about the life of humans in the process- this is primarily a chemical reaction to what is going on. For example, the CO2 concrentration leads to early blooming of foilage so the earth is getting greener during northern winter climates. Studies do show economic development will increase in colder climates and food production will increase in thos regions, but in places like the US, it will become similar to Mexico. What makes this whole thing scary is how environmental destruction in already developing countries will lead to food shortages in those countries and accelerating war, immigration, and terrorism. Now you can state you don't care about those poor countries, but since even America relies on resources from poorer nations, nationalism around the globe will become popular as a result- and we all know the impetus that caused WW1. The Butterfly effect, where every single aspect of life is interconnected in a delicate ecosystem will be depreciated and dismantled due to global warming. The main problem I'm worried about is this constant alteration in resource availability between countries- resource depletion will lead to stangating economies and how they properly function. For example, when we had an oil crisis in the 1970s before technology became more sophisticated to extract more oil, economists like Milton Friedman poularized laissez faire neoliberal capitalism as a method of adding a price to finite resources. Price controls were removed in that time to signify that certain items were becoming scarcer.
