The abomination of desolation happened when Antiochus sacrificed a pig to a statue of Zeus in the Second Temple. The end did not happen 3 and a half years later so Daniel was a false prophet.

The heads on the beast are Roman emperors. 5 are fallen (Augustus, Tiberius, 3, 4, Nero), one is during the time of John (6th Roman emperor), the other hasn't shown up yet; he is of the 7th and comes out out of the bottomless pit and will be ressurected.
