Have you signed the Convention of States Petition? We the People can bypass Congress, and pass Amendments with a 2/3 majority of States. Our founding fathers were very wise, knowing this was needed. That there would come a time, when in order to save our Republic, a Constitutional Convention would be our only saving grace.

@ShabazzTBL Wow, you seem to be severely mentally disoriented by TDS. I am not proposing anything. I am merely educating people about the Convention of States clause our Founding Fathers were wise enough to put in the US Constitution. To save our Republic from a tyrannical form of government. FYI, you seem extremely ignorant, yet preposterous arrogant. So the process is simple, Either Congress proposes amendments or the states request that Congress call a convention for proposing amendments, but any proposed amendments would only become part of the Constitution if three-fourths of the states ratify it. Why did the framers give us two methods of proposing amendments? Because, if you remember, the Constitution is a compact between the states. If only Congress had the authority to propose amendments to the Constituiton, then the parties to the compact would be unable to rein in an out of control federal government. Does anyone really think that Congress will ever propose a balanced budget or other amendment that restricts their powers?

The hate you ooze freely is energy you could spend on worthwhile causes. Such as educating yourself, about our nation, it's history, and the US Constitution, especially Article 5. Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster. What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention for proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington, DC. Why would you not support the Convention of States? Perhaps because you hate much more than you seem to comprehend about our government? This will benefit ALL Americans, regardless of whether you register as an D, a R, or an I. By supporting the Convention of States Project; a national effort to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress. Don't you want your state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of Article V Convention. Nineteen states have already passed legislation to join the Conventionof States. Six more states have passed legislation to join the COS in one house, pending passage in the second house. Additionally, 18 more states have petitions gathering signatures, while you stew in irrational hatred. Now don't you feel silly? For sure, you appear stupid.

It seems to have been written by a 3rd grader, or perhaps TDS has rendered you unable to clearly and concisely put your thoughts into words in a way that expresses your thoughts. Are you trying to say that the Convention of States does not exist, or is merely wishful thinking? If is you should educate your self. Read Article 5 if the US Constitution. Read it several times, bc you seem to be dense. Then research the 19 states that have already passed Convention of States legislation through both houses of their state legislatures. Then research the 6 states that have passed Convention of States legislation through one house of their state legislatures, pending passage through the second house of their state legislatures. Another 19 states have applications filed to begin petitions for the Convention of States in their states. Education is key to understanding what is going on, ignorance and arrogance gain you nothing.
