  2. Yes absolutely, the highways, car dependency, sprawl was largely done by corporate corruption and government intervention. So basically we did get screwed. HOWEVER, Smart Growth/New Urbanism along with the high density projects, light rail, regional agencies is another flawed rip off system! AVOID BOTH!!
