@vintagebollinger4439 a very warm port not conected to russia - not that good. A very warm port in a very unstable area - prone to espionage and terrorist atacks. To reach said port - need turkiye to allow it - a bit dependant on conditions. All this is cause putin miss calculated for a long time - soviet republics have been a loss of soft power over time - - - that's on "genious" putin. So no, he isn't that smart, if he were, he would have allowed a bit more development to have the moneys to keep said sphere of power and not have to resort to violence - it is way more expensive and not very practical.
