They were also in an embarrassing position (still are) cause of the protests iran has. This serves them internally and as a publicity stun for mena region folks as they are now seen as the islamic leadership who fights the palest cause. It also serves neta cause it takes away the atention from gaza. In the end, the one's who suffer the most are the one's which get the hotspot of the cold war that has been going on for decades in the middle east. Nothing good comes out of this.

Yeah, that's probably it. This aligns with the reality that israel and iran don't want war but are still in cold war mode. Middle east has a tendency to have multiple cold wars at once. During soviet v usa cold war, middle east also had an arab cold war. It's a region of layers uppon layers, hard to make sense or define.

Usa oficially said it hadn't discorage or encouraged - in political speak this translates to "we will for now not admit to have spoken about oil with ukraine". Why? Cause usa needs to keep line of comunication with russia (nukes) so it doesn't admit to have agreed with the strategy. It's basic common sense, politicians are profesional liers, and the statement fall into lie by omission, which is very common. Peeps are making this more than it is. The problem lies on congress that doesn't aprove the bill of military aid - this is just a distraction from the main issue.

Battery tech isn't that good at the moment. It doesn't a good longevity, it's very pollutant to produce, etc. Maybe this whole ordeal will put political pressure to invest in more research and better batteries in the future.

Some of those sanctions were latter lifted as european companies, with economic interest in russia, lobbied for said lift. This goes to show european rulling class is weak and moronic and never asserts it's authority to lobby groups.

Those poles have zero information. They were made by russian poling companies, which means companies connected directly or indirectly to putins party. Also, people in russia tend answer whatever they need to survive. At least to me they have zero reality in them.
