It also works in favor of voters supporting more financing to military and alphabet agencies, as no one would be interested in that if there was no visible enemy. One can safely say putin, ayatollahs etc are the best advertisers for usa military industrial complex.

  34.  @checkfactschecking  don't really have one, but surely increase in air defense, defend the border regions, etc. About the transfer of iranian stuff, there isn't much that can be done, it's 2 countries deciding on trade. At max, there could be an increase in sanctions to iran (as a vengeance of sorts). But there is one thing that would make iran mad, organizing and making the druze of south syria and independant country, but that would be meddling with mid east again.

They are temporary allies of circumstances but they actually don't fully help one another. Examples? Well, observe central asia political power plays. Golf buggeys isn't exactly a military allied sale. The signs are there. Fun fact: china and russia do have a border territory dispute, hence why china declares itself an artic country. 🤷‍♀️ It is what it is.
