@DavidHalko economies in general will buy less oil as opose to buy zero oil. Still, this will make oil price lower as most of the profit isn't in the raw material but in the process be it refining it or using it to make plastic. It will be a punch for oil based economies, hence why the gulf countries are already investing in other areas.

@dianapennepacker6854 just would like to add that borders would always suck. Borders are man made invisible lines, be it done far away or by local rules, they never take clans/tribes under consideration, they take rullers/ conquerors need into consideration.

What made the venezuela fall apart is corrupt políticas putting corrupt managers plus organized crime. So much oil was just transported out to neighbouring counties with zero tax payment, that it made venezuela start going into the negatives (from literally missing oil) - all of this prior to sanctions. Organized crime pretty much owns south america (with exceptions) that anything state owned is pretty much bankrupt, any nationalization of anything won't work, nothing state does can work. And they, organ crime families, have been gaining ground in europe.

@Iam1nsane having the ability to find tech to lower cost is oppen to anyone competing. Finding reasons for the failure of socialist governm is for marxist lovers who can't fathom that marx was wrong.

@DavidHalko 3rd world - political concept from cold war, kept by popularity (and abuse by china/ international comunist/ socialist, but nor acurate. Fun fact - china due to its obcession of being self suficient and it's strategy of surviving under blockaid (malaka straight) has steadily invested heavily in solar farms (some of which have yet to be conected to the grid). This combined with their economic challages of near future (factors too long to summarize in a coment) changed predictions that they may reduce carbon consumption much earlier. Finally, the story of the oil lobby and lead refined petroleum - oil lobby has always spread misinformation and propaganda, aka, the same ideas as "we need oil and nothing but oil" u are spreading. It's called usefull idiot, something oil lobby (opec plus) loves. Fun fact 2: the oil arabs have invested in alrernatives and have bought patents of alternatives cause they know how good of a biz these are (aka less cost more profit). Facts > propaganda > pseudo-science.
