@ericwynn6770 the bad government rulling were always there. What is making investors leave is a. International politics (investors want low key) b. the emergence lf a middle class means differenf wage demands and work cultural shift c. Money money. The same investors that are leaving were fine when the work conditions were resemblant to traditional slavery and oficials corrupt enough. It isn't about policy change cause so long it's profitable and exploitative big companies are happy which overall says a lot about the world we leave on.

@statostheman wiki isn't the best source, specially cause the narrative that palest as a unified political/ ethnic identity always existed is part of the palest cause narrative. The dude was fully loyal to damascus and the pan-arab project of a unnified mena region with only 1 identity, arab and by default islamic (minorities accepted as 2nd class). Palestine as an independant country project is much latter proposition (arafat).

@statostheman which doesn't mean his end goal wasn't the pan-arab project (under his personal view, pan-arabs weren't a monolith), plus one of the unifying elements of pan-arabs was israel as the stone in the path of a unified arabia, that's ofcourse another delusion of pan-arabists but a very much believed one.

@HKim0072 us isn't the regulation u want to gloat about. Their testing us that there isn't much post hurricane. It's the 21st century, construction should be up to the standard of what is known in engeneering, as usa is lacking behind. Most countries are. Maybe exactly cause chinese companies are a bad competition.

There are very good agro-engeneers who have a very good comprehensible know how and actually have been giving training to farmers in areas such as permaculture and regenerative farming. Some local practices have actually drained the health of the land thru bad practices from generation to generation.

@BrutusAlbion east has the same mentality problem, it isn't a geography issue. "We" didn't outsource out environmental problems, "we" aproved legislation and companies were very much invited by eastern politicians also not thinking in the long run who "promissed" no equal regulation or too look the other way. Sick and tiered of ignorant prespective of the world.
