  28.  @cancerino666  Correct, but still it did show some irregularities. Also, the situation of 4 guys in 1 bedroom 150 per person, they are being robbed. Also, the situation of obtaining their security code, passport etc. If investigated and tried, in Portugal they would be found guilty of trafficking. As the story shows tge traffickers are mainly in tge countries of origin and witnesses fear for their lives to speak.

Nature isn't nice and we still a product of nature. We are a monkey with a murder agenda, that's what human is. Technology means we found new and better ways to kill.

Bonobos are the exception not the rule but males do kill each other to get to be alpha. It is what it is. Ur last sentence makes no sense.

No one speaks about a much needed anti-trust act, and I haven't heard one beep about better financial regulations. Just look how wall street reacted with the game stop story. China controls its companies, american companies control america - it will be a disaster either way.

  35.  @josebessadasilva199  if u consider the connection to the American definition as in relation to democracy that only arrived in 1974 (revolution), if it's about the ability of regular joes to not starve that would go to the same time as its entrance to the EU (there were still kids with no shoes in the middle of the winter in the 90's), if it's industrialized it was never enough to be considered as such (agriculture based on ox cart was normal in some places in the 80's). So, what do u mean 1st world? Maybe u want to relate 1st world as colonialist countries which in fact doesn't match as for example Poland was considered 2nd world but polish Lithuanian commonwealth in fact own colonies. So... What do u mean - in what of the possible 3 definitions of 1st - 2nd-3rd world can u possibly put Portugal as 1st?

  38. @Zhuohui Li When someone uses expresions as "they deserve" its a position not an analisis as is fuled with a moralistic view. History tells that it is a slippery slope. Imagine if the majority of the population of one country goes against the ruling friendly towards china class? Then no paying back nor usage of the infrastructure, aka lost or lost. It's always relative.

Notice the land owner explaining he couldn't check the legality of the people working in his property, as he said he could only check if taxes were payed. The legislation is what makes this possible so local authorities are tied.

"what does ATC has to do with it?" well you just confused legislators (the ones who write and aproove laws) with an organism that exists to check if those same laws are being followed. 2 diferent things. Also, finger pointing to your average portuguese only makes you racist by grouping a nationality with the practice done (wait for it) in another country. Your everage portuguese joe has no say of what is going on in tailand, romania, vietnam, bangladesh, india. Those are the countries that need ALSO to do something as these companies operate the way they do by menacing the families that live there. Portugal isn't the saviour of the world and portuguese are not responsible for bad practacies of an agreement that on papper looked good for both parties.

  42.  @saulperez6534  in my country it's worst than that. We have a tiny peace of land in the american tectonic plate. It's very stratigic because it has a base for rental. I think their strategy is that place. Usa will never allow it. So you see we r gonna be between the 2 giants while we r small and unimportant.

  44.  @saulperez6534  nope but chinese companies have been buying key portuguese companies. And we asked a bigger EEZ (huge sea are) and we know who influenced the pokicy. Our country is left lenient and oficially we don't criticize china in any way shape or form. They are even tax exempt. It's a mess!
