@lewisgreenway5065 at that point there wasn't a proper ukr army nor strategy, reactions should never be emotional. The mistake was not to have started a cold hard plan and keep on buying rus oil/ gas etc, that was the stupid part in europe's responsability.

@yurilytviak9066 yes, but would it be a) cause for rus invasion then and thus no independance and b) financially possible in the context of fall of soviet union (they were broke) with intention of building up a country future. Analising then needs to be in the context of that period and what was available to achieve the n1 goal which is independance and border recognition. The 90s were nice for the west but a hell for the rest.

@lewisgreenway5065 there wasn't agreements for said coalition. There was only 1 agreement which includes usa and uk. Also, countries needed time to acess what was actually happening cause ukran politics at the time was pretty divided and some were still supportive of stronger aligience to russia insted of EU, and eu was in its euroskeptic phase. The context wasn't black and white.

@lewisgreenway5065 yes, but the discussion in the reaction of 3rd parties. To acess a situation of 2 countries takes time and analisis, specially accessing what is the position of the population.
