Look at venezuela, the children don't die of starvatuon because they stoped reporting it. This might create one more humanitarian crisis with big numbers of young people fleeing (as always) west.   11. It's not about mother russia fool its about the fact ukrain is pretty rich and can (also will) be the number 1 exporter of cheap gas to europe. He just knows that russia had lost europe as a buyer with or without war. He wants to crush the existance of competition in world market. And he somewhat achieved that in the sense that it will take a while to rebuild ukrain unfortunatelly.

As there isn't perfection in this world, nor absolutes, ur being desingenuous and on purpose. There are a lot of functioning democracies in the world where ur average citizen is invited to participate in society and even decisions.

Ur the one who infered an opinion, which says more about u and ur opinion (projection) than about whatever is my opinion. A country is a political construction and all countries come with the good, the bad and the ugly. Making it just good or just bad is narrow and part of political manipulation/ indoctrination going around.

Societal pressure is related to culture and it isn't connected to freedom of speach the concept as society doesn't have a judicial sistem to stop u from speaking so, if u want to, even against the culture of ur comunity, u can exercise it anyways. Different concepts altogether. Example: my culture might try to restrain me from sushing my president but it can't fisically do so, and it didn't and I actually publicly shushed him, my culture considers me unpolite, but my society can't do much more than name call me, which I couldn't care less. Only weak minds allow society to pressure and bully, censorship is actually something entirely different as I would have been arested for sushing the president as I did.

My opinion (from the prepextive of translation and cultural studies) is that there won't be a regime change in russia, that suposition is all in the western mentality head, same with the idea that business would open china to democracy. Internal policy of 1 country is not influenced by the consumption of another - it's the countries fault of starving its own population 4. All statistics and studies in Russia are made by companies connected and working for putins party and have zero credibility. 5. Tongo has one of the most protectionist laws of Africa, and it is one of the poorest. 6. Having a foreign company investing in your country means jobs and abortion of foreign currancy which is one measurement of economic health. 7. Business ownership doesn't equate to population wealth, average individual income does, example is Ireland that doesn't own most companies but is one of wealthiest in terms of wealth distribution that is GDP - PPP. Lastly, principle of good governance is always better than ideological warfare, proven time and time again.

Subject at hand is the economic feasibility of independance not individual life style or purchase power. Angola is rich by its citizens are one of the most poor in the world, this doesn't conclude that angola shouldn't be sovereign. The whole balcan has the possibility to switch from one structure for trade to another, as the structures are connected as they were all the same country not so long ago, so the potencial is there. Potencial doesn't mean it will happen or not, just that it's feasible. Anything between russia and a neighbor country isn't feasible due to russian foreign policy. No independance without the bare minimum of economy. Basic common sense.
