@NotSomethingIsNothing india and pak formed as an agreement of deciding same territory (its territory not land). If u were correct, than decision wouldn't happen, borders would never change etc. This isn't correct. Want an example, saudi and jordan have exchange territories, no war, nothing, just an agreement between ruling class on both sides.
Oman and UAE have a bunch of agreements on exclaves, same, no wars, agreements negociated and honored. Very easy to blame the previous administration. Pakistan as a country isn't some old civilization, it's a very recent made up country.
They could have been better than the brits, but they were not meanwhile blaming the brits for something they themselves do.

@specialnewb9821 the idea that there is no alternative is propaganda spewed by non savory imams of islamists. Wrong, not only said power exists today- morrocan monarchy and its influence as an example, the hashemites (there are a lot of them with royal bload - kill one there is another), and other famillies with big numbers and inflience thru diplomatic ties. Also, u are considering mena region without its nuanced groups: its power vs the other where u kill power and vacuum which is incorrect and only serves islamists and usa hegemony (the divide and conquer).
Finally, yes I am correct about the roman empire: no expansionism, no sale of slaves by the power who expanded, no golden coins spent from the rich, inflation, less money in piblic coffers, no money to raise armies and keep existant territory, here comes the germanic tribes cashing in on the event. That simple: no money no control. It's not rocket science!

@louiswu6300 again the one with a racist view is you. You are doing the same, you are defining those captain by their skin colour than by their ethnical reality. You are defining them the way people define all asia as chinese. Americo Tomas (the one who sailed to what us known today as canada) was a semite, a jew. Again that's a captain who is not white, never was, never will be. I can proove it to you, Americo Tomás came from a rich familly in Belmonte where the protected jews (yes we played the church and protected our jews and muslims, we lied as hell) are still there. Right under the powerful church nose. We are a product of admixture and we were already that in the 15th century. We kept own independence from european power with some many lies, to the point we still have pagans amonst us till today. Our captains were a product of admixture, their skin colour is besides the point cause the ones receiving us didn't have a dna test kit. Anyways to think of the portuguese as white is an invention. Turtkish peoples are not white, they are also an admixture, the idea of them being white was just an imposition of the ortodox church, again another mith. There is no such thing as white unless you refer to the franks, celts, vikings. Small group in relation to the reality of europe where each geography has its own reality (the mith wich confers a national sentiment plus the actual reality). Portugal is not white but does have viking and celt admixture because of the visigoth and the crusades.

@hamedahmadi1382 ur confusing and mixing the scramble for africa with middle east. That is on purpose, to spread propaganda one needs to be seen as victim and never perpetrator. A lot of the borders in central asia were not done by europeans in cahoots, they were agreements between empires of the time, persia, russia, uk, etc. Why? Cause prior to it there was no tech to define specific points of border lines and these were permeable and often exchanged (war, conquests etc). Europeans didn't compete for central asia, cause they all invested key locations for sea trade routes, not land ones, those resources were much more expensive to exploit due to being far away from ports.
This is probably why it's exploitation was mostly done in the xx century by soviets, a time where the whole region was no longer at the hands of the brits.
Facts, fun stuff, generally supercedes feelings.
