  1. All the many deaths are tragic. But Prigozhin’s death is doubly tragic. A man who takes a city has surpassed the many, many average men. He became the all-surpassing figure we armchair web commenters may never be. He and his tens of thousands. We may never achieve what he achieved. Few men do. Like the leader of the Three Hundred. They will probably never make movies about the rest of us, but I imagine there will always be movies and books and songs about Prigozhin. Few of us will have millions emulating us or aspiring to be like us. Millions of boys will grow up wanting to be a heroic man like Prigozhin. If Prigozhin was not such a great man, such a hero to so many, the West enemies of Putin would not be trying to pin the blame on Putin, trying to get milage out of defaming Putin in this way.

  4.  @apostlejoshuatrent7180  He would have eliminated Zelenskyy and Budanov rather than Prigozhin. It would make no sense to eliminate Prigozhin and leave the real enemies living and fighting him and killing his people. No sense at all. The only sense would be if it were an act of extra-judiciary punishment but Putin is a man of law and would have complete ability to punish Prigozhin via the legal system. Prigozhin was not opposing Putin and had probably, when his ‘chef’, saved Putin’s life and kept him in the comfort of safety, so it would not be characteristic of Putin to kill in that way, a wicked way. It is Ukrainian Independence Day. That should point us to those who would have just cause to avenge Bakhmut.

  5.  @shafiumohammed1977  saying that is effectively calling the Ukrainian secret services and leadership and Zakenskyy weak. It implies Putin could do what they could not, though they had plenty more reason for doing so. Could only Putin’s forces have strength and intelligence to bring down that plane and Ukraine not be able and not want to do it or dare to do it?
