I had forgotten the situation in Syria whereby Russia and US forces were colocated there and had agreed not to fight, but that was before the Ukraine business, so what happens now? The beginnings of an answer to that question is materialising.

Russians will need to keep pushing back Ukrainian artillery away from Donetsk, because only pushing them back a little, still in shelling range, will make shelling less accurate, more random, more likely to hit unintended targets.

Russia versus USA in Syria will really stir things up. Iran could come out of it stronger. Iraq too. Prophetic times like rise of Babylon in troubled Assyrian times, the prophetic tossing of the sea, out of which came Babylon and Persia and Macedonia.

@robertamann2093 A nuke is no good in a proportionate conventional war, but a hypersonic with conventional load is very useful, unless it is still in its experimental unproven status
