  1. Yes. Could Moldova maybe go through upheaval like Ukraine splitting Romanian versus Russian? It has strong groups of each leaning. Moldova very recently a Communist democratic country. Europe leanings very new. Could either swing back to Russia or split in two.

  2. One has to sympathise with ethnic Russians there. And EU might be bad news anyway for Moldova due to increasing likelihood of young educated people leaving, especially men. This is the blight of Moldova. And those who aren’t lured by EU into leaving might work for EU states, making local recruitment difficult. But hey, if I say more the EU might sanction me! I’d sanction them back 😊

  3.  @LuisAldamiz  The 2014 census reported that approximately 4% of Moldova's population identified as ethnic Russians. Not so many outside Transnistria. However, in the 2014 census, approximately 23.6% of the population reported Russian as their primary language, so that is a major factor too.
