  1. Airships can replace; ships, planes, trains, 18 wheelers, taxi's, heavier-than-air flying contraptions. They do not need infrastructure, airports, pick/drop cargo/passengers anywhere without landing, cheap to build/maintain, use little to no petroleum. So no, you cannot have one, ever!

  3. Back in the 80s Popular Science etc. ran articles about this very subject, then the subject of airships went black and you never heard a word about them. The military was working on them! Around 2002, I read an article about military airships that use magnetic drive, are near invisible to the eye, carry vast amounts of troops and cargo, are stealthy and fast, stay up for months and can enter outer space. Shortly after reading the article, I decided to forward it on to friends, but I could not find that article again, it had been removed from U Tube...hmm. The tech is out there and being used, but we the wee people cannot have it because it will compete with ships, trains, planes, 18 wheeler's, buses, etc.
