If it had not been for that smelly oil being so easily monopolized, the world would have had electric vehicles from the start. After, one hundred plus years of development, all the bugs and quirks would have worked out of electric vehicles, long ago! Baker electrics are still on the road to this today, and that is another problem with electric vehicles, they do not wear out with only one moving part in the drive train. No profit to be made there!
