A lifetime of experience with wargames, and designing wargames, says that the "best general" is the one who is the most aggressive, defeats the enemy the fastest, takes ground the fastest, and therefore wins and ends the war the fastest. It's counter-intuitive, but the more force that you use and the more aggressively that you use it... the fewer people will die in the end on both sides of the conflict. So... Patton. M&M

  2. The biggest misconception about WWII is that there was ever any chance at all of Germany defeating Russia alone. Let alone Russia and England. And America... Hahahaha!!! The people of the time had no way of seeing it, but in retrospect WWII was a complete joke. Most people still today think "it was close", but it never was. There was never any chance of Germany defeating Russia... let alone England and America on top of that.
