  3. The Romans were not much better. They would take unwanted or illigitimate children out into the woods to 'expose' them to the elements. History is truly dark.

  4. I think there is no doubt Jesus suffered at the hand of the Romans and the Jews. But the Romans and the Jews are now in charge of the Jesus story and effectively rule the world. Jesus is a warning to anyone else who thinks they can upset the apple cart. The message is just not right. He died so the Romans and Jews do not have to account for their terrible deeds.
