  1. There is no justification for removing children on the large scale it takes place. If these people were not running away from a state who takes away their children then they might have turned too the state for help with the child. This is not a straightforward situation at all. This is a failure of social interventionism. If they are not going to prevent people having more children or provide ongoing psychological help then the intervention to remove children is pointless.

  3.  @nicolad8822  Not everyone no. Removing a child should be a tough last option. At the moment it's the first and only option. Statistics on removed children are pretty shocking. The outcomes for these children in care is not necessarily any better than if they remain with the parent. Can go on to face abuse and trauma in the care system. It's true we don't have a perfect system. It's also true that we have to keep working in a better one. Saying this is what we have got like it or lump it is not acceptable.

  4.  @lesleyhubble2976  how easy is it to ask for help from people who have the authority to remove your child ? Its like they will punish you for asking for help. It's counter intuitive.

  6.  clarry1324 you either accept people are rehabilitated or you keep them detained. How is the abduction of the junkie woman's children going to heal her from her situation? It's like piling trauma on top of trauma. Another state dependent problem. They have been aloud to go free and produce children. You must accept that some more holistic approach to these people is necessary. The intervention to remove children is far far to late. Not sufficient.
