  1. Well those people bording up shops and businesses have been supporting the mass people trafficing so they can pay emplyees ever depressed wages. Im not even tempted to get my little violin out just yet. Most shops and businesses are already borded up because of sky high ground rents, which stops them from competing with Amazon and ebay. Perhaps the government could rededuce ground rents, make sure the ware house to door global brands are paying the correct taxation, and reduce retail business rates to reinvigorate the city centres. Some constructive ideas in destructive times.

  2. I think we are going to need more borded up shop fronts so all these homeless folkes have somewhere to sleep. They really are piling up like sand bags these days. Until they start sleeping in front of the Ivory towers and community theaters nothing will be done about it. Our housing market is designed to do that to people.
