I really don't understand why opposing nations still abide by international conventions on war and international law while the US, UK and Isreal don't appear to uphold it and seem immune to prosecution. I'm very surprised we have not seen nations actively withdraw from such agreements in protest. Especially over Iraq. There is no way for lesser nations to enforce international law. All the debate on what's legal and what's not is just entirely white noise.

  2. It's directly comparable to the UK vs the IRA. At no point was indiscriminate bombing of the Irish people on the table in the IRA conflict. UK gets criticism for intervention in Ireland even today, but looking at this conflict now at least you can say this response was targeted and proportionate. Would it have been ? Had they been Muslims ? Or would we just have stuck with full force? I could not say. We saw in Iraq that Western leaders like Bush and Blair are immune/out of the reach of international justice. I 100% believe they had a case to answer for illegal invasion and assassination of the Iraqi head of state. I think it's now pretty clear that we will learn that internal law and Justice does not extend to Isreal or the Israeli leaders. Clearly any just punishments for these people can only now come from God himself. Which is very sad indeed. It does demolish ones belief in Justice.

  4. I agree with this statement. Far too many of our MP's are overtly invested in Israel. It's effects their judgement on UK wide issues.
