Britain in 1930 to 1945, Hitler was not universally hated. The word Nazi was formally national socialism. Before the holocaust was uncovered they were just viewed through a lens of modern political reformers. Not like a manifestation of evil. They took Germany from economic collapse to an economic power house. In a very short space of time. Some feared their rapid growth but some respected it. Allot of British thought we should be emulating them. Much like the way China is viewed today. Obviously footage survives of the royals performing salutes and even our national football team doing so before a football match. An there were some high profile sympathisers. No doubt people who spoke out against them were silenced much the same way the political right are today. There was genuine optimism in Chamberlains party that they could work with the Germans. After the war seeing the rise of Communist Russia many US leaders were quoted saying. 'We fought the wrong enemy' For all Hitler's flaws at least he did not threaten to take away their capitalism. For the elites fear of Hitler is far out weighed by the fear of the Bolchevic's coming and stripping them of their mansions. Political Question this raises is; When and why should we fight? And for what reasons? Learning to fight is easy. Determining who is the real enemy. Now that is truly hard. You should ask yourselves if the people you fight for would fight for you.

@ProfessorTimWilson ofcourse. Politics and religion thrives on ignorance. How many British voters read minfestos laid out? If we did that, we could not vote for any of them. How many who expouse tolerance for islam have read Quran an the Haddiths? Would they be cassual if they did ? My point was well made. You understood it very well. 🙏

@ProfessorTimWilson it funny. If you oppose political Islam you get called a Nazi many times. I never did read Mien Kampf. Would you recommend I did ? It's also worth noting that there was a Muslim regiment within Hitlers ranks. The ideologies find allot of common ground in their intolerance to Jews, Gypsys and other minority's.
