  4. What a contrast to what we see today. With Christmas now young mothers feel forced and obligated to get themselves into debt to give their children overpriced designer items and tech. A consumerist orgy that we see today could not be more removed from charitable giving. This sentiment of St Nicolas as you expain it sounds very positive and good. Could not be more different than what you see as you walk through town on black Friday.
