Putin does not listen to the liberal language of sanctions and peaceful solutions and he toutes his nukes at every opportunity. UK needs to remember how to get our hands dirty again.   2. zoki kostadinov there is no advantage for the UK to cause issues with Russia or to 'stage a false flag' operation here. It makes NO SENSE. We cannot attack Russia militarily. We cannot invade it to steal oil reserves. Nobody in the UK has any interest in stirring up cold war tension or a nukeclear war. The UK has no net gain from this media exchange. NONE !!!

  4. Dimitar Frozeone The UK has been punching over its weight for a long time. It would take 4 tactical nukes to destroy the UK. In fact we once had our flag flying over 80% of the globe. It's the Russians who need to take more care. Not us. It would take about ten to reduce Russia to ashes. We don't need anymore than that. 200 is more than enough. What makes you think that would be a victory for Russia ? We would all be dead and the fallout would destroy the next 10 generations. Russia is not the victim here. Incase you have not noticed. Nobody in the UK seriously disputes that. The evidence is over whelming. The difference here is. The UK definatly would not gain anything from a war with Russia. We cannot invade it with impunity. We cannot march in and steal oil from them. There is no net gain to increasing tension with Russia. The UK gains nothing from war with Russia. We are all accutely aware that the next war between nuclear states could destroy all of us. So this situation is different. Like it or not. Putin knows very well the UK government lost the trust of its people during the Iraq war. That gives him overwhelming plausible deniability. That leads me to conclude this is a double bluff. Putin is playing the 'victim' card here. Gaining support and sympathy. And increasing distrust of the west. The only way the government can win back trust is for Blair and Bush to face trial.

The only plausible goal for the British to stage this is to shut down Russia Tonight. If that happens then I will 100% rethink my possition on this. May has shown a willingness to curb free speech and attack media outlets. If they shut down Russia tonight I will personally send my TV to my MP. I do not wish to be the next North Korea or China. That is the way things are going.
