This prevents an aristocracy, so you can't earn billions and give it all to your children for free for doing nothing. This won't be bad for Hillary, it will be good for her. The average person will never pay an estate tax.   8. If you own stuff worth 3.5 million dollars then you're doing just fine and taxes aren't going to harm you. And the taxes from that can actually be spent on things like healthcare and infrastructure, which provides people with more jobs and thus shrink the unemployment rate and increase the effective consumer demand.
