  1. Yeah.... as a Dane ... Looking at the US elections and political system ... no thanks. I'm more free here. And yes, ... there's a lot of issues in the US (gerrymandering, lack of automatic voter registration, etc...) but the absolute worst element is the first-past-the-post voting. It's pure game theory that it converges towards a two-party system and two-party systems are toxic to democracy. They encourage partisan us-vs-them dogmatism and ensures that nothing will gets done. That simply doesn't happen in multi-party systems. We also have an election in Denmark next week and there are 14 parties to vote for and at least 13 of them have a realistic chance of getting mandates. And btw... Both the former and current prime ministers have openly flirted with the idea of creating a government together. They might be political opponents, but the kind of absurd partisanship we see in the US is basically unthinkable.
