  1. So ... maybe you have to realize that the word "liberal" in the US and in Europe does not have the same meaning. And ... that "woke'ism" (or more specifically, Critical Theory identity politics) is an explicitly illiberal ideology. So there's nothing weird about European liberals having a hard time with American leftist "woke" ideology.
