So ... if we set aside the usual we-think-we-understood-everything-but-not stuff, where we a lot later realize that there's for instance is some psychological benefit for the child to be attached to the mother.... There's at least the risk that we as a species would end up getting dependent on technology to breed at all. ... which could end up being a problem if there's a sudden drop i living standards due to, say, natural catastrophes or war.
